Solar Cooking Oven
How can you tell how long to cook bread in a solar oven?
I want to bake bread in my awesome solar oven (it is the “Solar Hot Pot”) but I don’t know how to tell how long I should let it cook.
The solar oven CAN get up to 400+F, but there are a lot of factors that affect the temp so I need another clue besides just a set time frame.
Anyone have any ideas? Anyone have experience with solar cooking regular bread?
Hmm, yes, 2-4 that would generally seem to be an appropriate range, but how can I tell without opening up the solar oven or cutting open the loaf to see if it’s done in the middle? My question is prompted by the fact that it is difficult to tell the temperature, exactly.
Just generally speaking the bread should bake from 2 1/2 hours to 4 hours depending on how hot your oven is getting.
